South Africa 2012 Most Recent Issue South African Native National Congress (SANNC) 100 Most South Africans know that the ANC is an acronym for the "African National Congress", which came into power following South Africa’s first democratic elections in 1994. But few know that the ANC was preceded by the "South African Native National Congress" (SANNC), which was founded in Bloemfontein in January 1912 and renamed in 1923. In commemoration of the organisation’s 100th anniversary, the South African Post Office issued a commemorative stamp and First Day Cover on 6 January 2012. New Zealand 75 Years of the RNZAF Since its inception in 1937 the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) has made a significant contribution to war - and peace - time efforts in New Zealand and around the world. In 2012, the RNZAF is celebrating 75 years of service, and New Zealand Post is commemorating the anniversary with this stamp issue.
